Oxford Index Card Storage Box

10:31 AM Saturday. I spent a couple of hours early this morning getting my Gmail labels organized so that they match up with my 29 projects. I like being able to smoothly assign every email that comes to my inbox directly to a project or sub-project label. I have zero unread mail, ten starred emails, and about 740 read emails in my inbox. It also looks like I am holding on to about 400 emails in my sent email folder. This all takes up 3% of my 15 GB balance. I am sure that I could bring my inbox down under 500 messages with some effort, but that degree of email minimalism feels like something to work on at the start of 2026. According to Gemini, "an average Gmail account has more than 5,700 emails in various folders, though many users have over 1,000 unread messages cluttering their inboxes."

After a couple of hours focused on my Gmail labels, I set to work on some additional elements of my Office Organization checklist. I checked my secondary email, backed up my blog, decluttered my office desktop, and confirmed my order of an Oxford Index Card Storage Box plus 100 Oxford Index Card Guides. Next Saturday morning, I will set up my index card box. I am not sure if I will include a 43-folder tickler file system alongside my other subdivisions of the index card storage box.

I am on track to get the analog elements of my home office reasonably organized and decluttered by the end of 2025. At that point, I will snap some photos of my setup for future reference.

End 11:20 AM.
