Office Organization

It's 5:50 AM Eastern on Saturday morning as I begin to write. I am thinking about my Time Management life role, and how I would like to try streamlining it from four projects that I am not handling that well (Blog Management, First Things First, Getting Things, and Office Management) to just two projects: Office Organization on Saturday mornings and Weekly Planning on Saturday afternoons.

Okay, done.

Now it is 8:59 AM and I am deciding between two possible next actions within my Office Organization project. I can continue consolidating my blog labels under other roles, or I can focus on a Saturday morning Office Organization checklist. I decide to give myself until 10 AM on the blog labels, then until 11:30 AM on a checklist. I will finish up with workstation tidying, vacuuming and dusting until noon.

Saturday Morning Office Organization Checklist:

  • Is my paper inbox at zero?
  • Is my Gmail inbox at zero?
  • Is there anything happening in my backup email accounts that needs attention?
  • Is my Windows 11 Operating System interface up to date?
  • Are my paper files where I want them?
  • Are my digital files where I want them?
  • Is my blog backed up?
  • Is my YouTube Watch Later list under control?
  • Can I streamline my bookmarks?
  • Can I streamline my Amazon Wish List?
  • Is my smartphone all set?
  • Is my Kindle all set?
  • Is my office desktop tidy?
  • Are my office shelves tidy?
  • Have I vacuumed and dusted my workstation?

Alight, it's 11:46 AM and I made progress on many of these items, while others will have to wait until next Saturday morning. Let's see how this checklist works for me then.
