United Nations: 80th Anniversary of the 1st UN Security Council Resolution and My 54th Birthday
11:26 PM.
My comment on The Life of a UN Security Council Resolution:
Thanks for the interesting video, UN Secretariat. Today, 25 January 2026, is the 80th Anniversary of the 1st UN Security Council Resolution. It is also my 54th birthday. As we look at Security Council enlargement to 25 members, I believe we should consider modifying the P5 category to an N5+4 category, or N9, bringing on board India, Israel, North Korea and Pakistan.
Cf. Resolution 1 (1946).
End 11:59 PM.
Addendum
The first meeting of the UN Security Council was held at Church House, Westminster, on Thursday, 17 January 1946, starting at 3:10 PM.
The second meeting of the UN Security Council was held in the same location on Friday, 25 January 1946, starting at 3:00 PM.
Church House is the home of the headquarters of the Church of England. The UN Security Council meetings were held in the Hoare Memorial Hall.
At 12:34 AM on Monday, 26 January 2026, I cast the following biwheel:
The inner wheel is for 25 January 1946 at 3:00 PM in London, England, UK. The outer wheel is for 26 January 2026 at 12:34 AM in Albany, New York, USA.
My attention is of course drawn to the conjunction of Mars with the Ascendant along the inner wheel, and the conjunction of transiting Jupiter to this point along the outer wheel.
