The State of the Israeli Center
7:25 PM Thursday.
My comment on this excellent podcast discussion:
"Shalom and Toda Raba to Donniel and Yossi from a Gentile two-state Zionist in upstate New York. I have been wondering lately if Tzipi Livni could and should be recruited back into politics to lead a center-left coalition that is explicitly committed to a two-state solution. Livni is an exceptionally qualified woman with tremendous strategic depth relative to Yair Golan. She is helpfully detached from both the October 7th government and the Bennet-Lapid government that preceded it. She supports recognition of a Palestinian state only after significant Palestinian deradicalization and reform, which makes good security sense, good moral sense, good demographic sense, and good diplomatic sense. She supports judicial integrity and a state COI for October 7. My question for Donniel and Yossi is this: for the sake of balance, putting Israeli women at the center in a future podcast discussion, which 2-3 are the most objectively qualified to unite the country and repair its international image? Is Livni one of them?"
End 7:28 PM.
