Response to Jeremy Scahill on the Policing of Gaza

5:49 PM Sunday.

I am an American two-state Zionist so I know I have my biases but I don't see how October 7 and all the suffering that followed helped the lawful Palestinian resistance get any closer to a two-state solution. Hamas has caused Palestinian civilians tremendous harm and cost the world a massive amount of money that could have been much better spent. Israel is no closer today than in the past to a two-state solution, and for good reason. Palestinians have rejected two-state solutions since 1947. Why should Trump care what Hamas thinks now? Because suddenly Hamas extremists are law-abiding policemen and two-state security experts, including in the West Bank? Give us a break. Hamas should publicly accept UNSCR 2803 and do its best comply. If Israel continues the ceasefire violations after a Hamas surrender there will be Hell for Israel to pay and not from Hamas but from Trump, the Board of Peace and the UNSC.

End 5:50 PM.
