Centering Mohican Voices with Many Trails and the Mohican Writers Circle

3:11 PM Wednesday.

Looking back with a month's more experience under my belt, I can see now that quite a lot happened in my spiritual life on this most recent Indigenous Peoples' Day. One issue is the strong sense of a message from the Creator to learn more about the Mohican Nation, the indigenous people of my local area. It's perplexing because part of this message is an astrological synchronicity that I observed at 5:25 AM and 5:25 PM here in Albany on 13 October 2025 between Venus, Neptune, and the Many Trails insignia of the Mohican Nation. On one hand I am skeptical that there is really much to it, and on the other hand I am convinced it could be a real sign from Creator, the God of Abraham (a gifted astrologer from the cradle of global civilization in Mesopotamia).

I am not going to reproduce the Many Trails insignia of the Mohican Nation here on my blog because I don't have permission to do that and I don't want to be disrespectful. What I am going to do is vow to make time between now and the next Indigenous Peoples' Day in October of 2026 to learn more about the Mohican Nation as part of my larger project in Native American studies for interfaith American spiritual formation. My plan is to work from the following resources:

Here is the little bit of research that I did today:

I grew up in Kinderhook, New York, not too far from Papscanee Island.

End 4:54 PM.
