2025 Day 307: Open Browser Tabs

11:25 AM Monday.

I deviated significantly from yesterday's plan. After a very stimulating class with Rabbi Dauermann, I wasn't able to get straight to sleep and stayed at my desktop computer until 10:30 PM researching the latest news about Israel, Russia, and President Trump. I also took a deep dive into some aspects of US CTBT ratification that I hadn't considered before. It was a productive use of my time but not at all in keeping with my 6 PM to 6 AM screen-free rule. Indeed, I only slept from 10:30 PM to 2:30 AM when I woke with an insight that got me back into my office space doing more research on my smartphone until 5:30 AM. Mostly I looked into the situations in Venezuela and Nigeria. Finally, I called it quits and went back to bed until 10:30 AM. Here is my agenda for the next ~20 hours:

  • 11-12 PM    Day 307 Blog
  • 12-12:30      Lunch
  • 12:30-4        Close All Open Browser Tabs
  • 4-5 PM        Warm-Up and Strength Training
  • 5-6 PM        Supper and Hygiene
  • 6-8 PM        Islamic Studies Reading
  • 8-5 AM        Sleep
  • 5-6 AM        Prayer and Daily Planning
  • 6-7 AM        Day 308 Blog

It is important for my mental health and office organization that I keep my browser tabs under tight control. Right now, I have about 80 tabs open between my smartphone and my desktop computer. It will be a challenge to get all of these tabs closed by 4 PM today without creating a distracting hodgepodge of draft blog posts in my Blogger dashboard. Let's see what happens. I will probably publish one or more Political Theology entries during this period.

End 11:57 AM.
