Q3 2025 Week 39 Plan

It's 3:45 PM on Saturday as I begin to write. Week 38 was another powerful recovery week in a powerful Virgo season. I've been spending much time over the last 15 days on issues related to plant-based nutrition, intuitive eating, and the Virgo-Pisces axis. It feels like this has much to do with the upcoming solar eclipse and the Sun's Libra ingress opposite Saturn in Pisces and Neptune in Aries. I won't get into all of that here, but I do want to briefly note that I just started a daily morning dose of 1000 mcg of Deva's vegan B12 as methylcobalamin for a 90-day experiment, alongside 315 to 630 mg of calcium citrate (depending on how much calcium I get from my whole foods, plant-based meals that day), and tomorrow I expect to start taking 5 grams daily of Nutricost creatine monohydrate as part of the same 90-day test.

On the time management front, I've been using Microsoft To Do on my smartphone for tracking recurring daily and weekly healthcare tasks, and a separate hipster PDA notecard bundle for everything else. I got a lot of walking in this week, about 7 hours total, including 1 hour of rucking with a 15-pound pack. I even worked in a couple of 15-minute strength training sessions on Monday and Thursday, which is a major accomplishment for me, given my usual lack of strength-training gumption. Hopefully the B12, calcium, and creatine will help with my muscle weakness.

My family is doing well, I had very helpful spiritual support sessions with Duffy Gardner in Vermont and Frank Hoffman in Wisconsin, and my therapist was on point with insightful feedback as usual.

I also spent some time this week taking a bit of a deep dive into the relationship between modesty and temperance in the Summa Theologica of Saint Thomas Aquinas, with a focus on the sub-virtue of humility. I am still quite taken with Abela's Anatomy of Virtue, and may proceed to a related reflection on negligence, studiousness, and curiosity in the days ahead.

What I'd like to do as we move into Week 39, the final week of Q3 2025, is develop Q4 goals for each of my 29 active projects:

There are pros and cons to quarterly goalsetting. If I get into this process and it proves too stressful, I will fall back to annual goalsetting.
