Toward a Spiritual Direction Project List


It's 4:18 PM Eastern on Sunday. I have been thinking for several hours about the many commitments and aspirations I want to include under my "Spiritual Direction" role. My initial mind sweep was overwhelming. Eventually, I was able to see the contours of four main projects:  

  • Constant Prayer
  • Consultation with Mentors
  • Religious Reading
  • Sunday Morning Worship 

I think everything I am currently working on in this role is probably classifiable as a subproject, but I am not sure. This list is still quite tentative.

    Maybe I should change Constant Prayer to the Vegangelical Counsels: Veganism, Inquiry/Obedience, Celibacy and Frugality/Poverty. Then I might tackle Morning Prayer, Afternoon Prayer and Night Prayer as separate projects. The counsels are constant: prayers are intermittent? Just a thought.
