Minimizing Shabbat Observance for a While

It's 4:05 PM Eastern on Thursday as I get this short note started. Today was my first time reading a Torah portion and its commentary on a Thursday, not on Shabbat, since I started study with First Fruits of Zion last October. I've modified my calendar so that I am no longer planning to observe Shabbat in any orthodox Jewish sense. At least for a little while, as part of my ongoing discernment. I will still make note of the fact that I am in Shabbat, maybe with special prayers, but I want to see how the Holy Spirit nudges me when I switch Torah study to Thursday mornings and allow myself to fully do my own thing on Saturdays. Will the Spirit nudge me back toward any orthodox Jewish elements of Shabbat observance? Or will the Spirit encourage my new Saturday emphasis on Time Management as a reasonable gentile Christian pursuit?

As to where this Shabbat Question fits within my Spiritual Direction role, it very much feels like an issue of "Obedience" under my Life in Christ project.
