Christian Zionism, MAGA and the Two-State Solution

As we start Week 28 of 2025 - the second week of the summer quarter here in the northern hemisphere - Dorcey Applyrs is on course to become Albany's first black mayor; Zohran Mamdani is frontrunner in the NYC mayoral race; and Prime Minister Netanyahu is scheduled to meet with President Trump at the White House on Monday. This juxtaposition of milestones no doubt has many of us in the Capital Region thinking about the relationships between Christian Zionism, Settler Colonialism, White Supremacy, Islamophobia, MAGA, and the Two-State Solution. But before we can get into all of that, we need some reasonably authoritative definitions of "Zionism" and "Christian Zionism" to work with.
