Wrestling with My Reading Program
Craig Wescoe, my pastor at Creation Care Church has just released The Book of Enoch: Study Edition through Amazon. Earlier this week, I watched What Is the Book of Enoch? (Should it be in the Bible?) and What’s Inside the Book of Enoch? Find Out Now! I am not sure if I want to acquire the Kindle version or the hardcopy version of Craig's exciting new book. Nor am I quite sure when to begin reading it. Last month I purchased The Builder's Stone by Melanie Phillips and The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins. I am about halfway through the former and haven't even begun to read the latter. If I want to grow on my spiritual path, I think I need to get my reading program better organized.
Here is a plan for the next seven days:
- Sat: 6-8 PM The Builder's Stone by Melanie Phillips
- Sun: 6-8 AM Fides et Ratio by Pope John Paul II; 6-8 PM The Road to Wisdom by Francis Collins
- Mon: 6-8 PM The Road to Wisdom by Francis Collins
- Tue: 6-8 PM The Great Debate by Yuval Levin
- Wed: 6-8 PM The Great Debate by Yuval Levin
- Thu: 6-8 PM The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins
- Fri: 6-8 PM The Builder's Stone by Melanie Phillips
- Sat: 9-12 PM Depths of the Torah by First Fruits of Zion
This will take me through next Saturday.
