The Third Temple of the Law and the ICJ Advisory Opinion of 19 July 2024
It's very early in the AM on Friday and I am beginning to think about tomorrow's entry on Mosaic Authorship. But I am not quite there yet. I first need to double-check the Christian Zionist Anglo-American UN Charter Reform lens through which I am perceiving an interfaith dialogue between the God of the Torah and the Allah of the ICJ Advisory Opinion of 19 July 2024. English is the first UN language in part, arguably, because of an Anglo-American guardianship role in God's plan for the evolution the United Nations Charter around a balanced solution to the questions of Jerusalem, Israel, Palestine, and the Third Temple of the Law. If the God of Abraham wants the Jews to return to Israel at the dawn of a Messianic United Nations Millennium to restore the Third Temple of the Law in Jerusalem, who are the UK and US to stand in the way of that? But if the God of Abraham also wants the ICJ Advisory Opinion of 19 July 2024 to be upheld, what then? Prime Minister Starmer and President Trump have a puzzle to solve.
Perhaps God wants to see the approximate implementation of UN General Assembly Resolution 181 through something like the Olmert - Al-Kidwa Plan. Can this be reconciled with the ICJ Advisory Opinion of 19 July 2024? Possibly, and possibly more easily than One Jewish State under uti possidetis juris.
From a right-leaning perspective, France should not recognize Palestine without prior Saudi recognition of Israel (cf. Saudi-French chaired UN conference on two-state solution set for June | AW). From a left-leaning perspective, France should take the first step. But would this signal capitulation to Islamism in France and the Muslim world? I suppose, if France and Saudi Arabia work together and aim right down the middle, they could make their recognition of Palestine and Israel mutual and simultaneous.
Prime Minister Starmer might want to think about Lebanese and Syrian recognition of Israel as a condition for UK recognition of Palestine. President Trump's team has no doubt already given much thought to what should be expected from the OIC, Iran, the Palestinian Authority and Hamas before the US can recognize Palestine. Perhaps Trump cannot deliver Palestine into full UN membership by 2029. Perhaps he can and should.
