How Much Time Each Day Should a Hermit Spend on Blogging?

Every day is different, and the Holy Spirit will make different demands on each hermit. Some hermits - maybe most - are not likely to have a strong vocational call to blogging. Others, like Sister Laurel at Stillsong Hermitage, may have a very strong call. Her Alleluia! He is Risen!! Alleluia, Alleluia!! is an Easter masterpiece and I look forward to reading her closely through Pentecost this year. Her blog will be my Eastertide devotional reading. Taking modern godsends like Sister Laurel into account, I would say that 4-6 hours each day is not too much or little time for a disabled hermit with a strong writing vocation to spend on contemplative blogging. Maybe some days it will need to be more, and other days less. Sister Laurel can probably manage in less time, on average, but I am just learning the ropes, and I need to spend much of my time in prayerful contemplation of the Blogger dashboard.

This is what an advanced lesson looks like: Blog, a solitary enterprise? (Pun Intended!)
